HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM CENTER
The C Building at Seminole State College Sanford campus will transform into the new Hospitality Management Program. This redesign will showcase a state-of-the-art look with traditional elements. The space will be welcoming to all with open and exterior glass windows to showcase the program’s classrooms and labs for demonstrative purposes. The ceiling’s existing skylights will allow for plenty of natural light that will aid in interactive activities in the spaces below. A modern ceiling design with a clean look will allow for the natural light to be showcased while also focus on accent lighting fixtures. Showing pride in Seminole State, the space will use the school’s representative blues and golds throughout the entire space while also incorporating complementary accent colors. For the design schematics, we want to use an organic pattern with radial organization and curved lines to guide the users throughout the different spaces, making it easy and interesting to transition throughout the building. For example, the entrance will showcase a circular ceiling design which will lead to the radial flooring patterns all throughout the space. The new design for the Hospitality Management program will provide students with the tools they need, while making their environment an enjoyable learning experience.
